Resources

Here is where we will put our various resources out to not only our members but also supporters and recruiters.

Resume Book

A resume book is something we can give to recruiters when they reach out to us with job or internship opportunities. While the resume book is available to be viewed below, in order to be added to it, you must send an email with your resume in PDF format to untshrm@gmail.com. Once we verify that you are a paid member with us that we will add your resume for the remainder of your membership.

Internship Opportunities

Internships are directly emailed to all paid members but are also archived on our Internships Page for paid members to view all previous internship opportunities. Remember that you must be logged into OrgSync for the Internship page to be visible.

Mentor Programs

The mentor program is designed to connect students and local HR professionals for one or two semesters. We hope that by matching students with volunteer HR professionals, both mentors and mentees will develop a mutually beneficial relationship. Once the students are matched with the professionals, the responsibility to maintain contact remains with the two individuals. Common ways to connect include regular luncheons, shadowing opportunities, phone conversations, etc. The goal of the mentor program is to provide students with opportunities to:

  • Expand their knowledge of HR practices
  • Familiarize themselves with the HR profession
  • Develop professional contacts through interaction with HR professionals.

Support

Through investments large and small, you can support every corner of the organization, from the support to find industry speakers, to our ability to attend the National SHRM Case Competition, and all areas in between. Their philanthropy represents all types of giving, from support for students, programs, and research, to funding capital projects and our chapter's priorities.

People who give to UNT SHRM do so because they see it as the best possible way to invest in building students into professional leaders. People give to UNT SHRM because they believe it's a place where you can get the best possible return on that investment.

When you give, you're part of an elite group, one that is allowing UNT SHRM to take on education's most intractable problem of training students to be ready for the fast changing world of business and HR, and one that will allow UNT SHRM to continue to serve as a leading student organization for positive change for generations to come.

The goal of UNT SHRM is to prepare UNT students to be leaders in the human resource profession by providing opportunities for leadership, networking and career exploration.

With the help of donations from supporters such as you we will continue to see improvements in our efforts.

Thanks again for considering supporting our efforts to develop Students into Professional Leaders.
